On Saturday, the Coffee Middle Red Raiders fell 3-2 to Blackman in the Section Semifinals while the Lady Raiders beat Page 7-4 in the Section Semifinals before losing to Oakland in the Section Championship.

CCMS Red Raiders: 2, Blackman Flames: 3

The Flames would get on the board first in the bottom of the second inning, scoring two runs to take a 2-0 lead.

Coffee County would answer back in the top of the third inning, scoring with Augie Lynch on a single by Tanner Daugherty to make the score 2-1, but the Flames scored again in the bottom of the third to up their lead to 3-1.

The Red Raiders would cut the lead back down to one in the top of the fifth inning as Jaxon Pruitt scored on a sacrifice bunt by Landyn Stiefel to make the score 3-2, but the Flames would hold the Red Raiders scoreless for the next two innings to win the game.

For the Red Raiders, Tanner Daugherty had one hit and one RBI, Augie Lynch and Jaxon Pruitt each had two hits and Landyn Stiefel had one RBI.

Ethan Arnold got the start on the mound, pitching two innings, allowing three runs on three hits and walking five batters on 52 pitches. Pruitt would pitch three innings in relief, allowing two hits and striking out four batters on 41 pitches.

With the loss the Coffee Middle Red Raiders end the season with an 11-10 record.

CCMS Lady Raiders: 7, Page Panthers: 4

The Panthers would take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, then the Lady Raiders scored twice in the top of the second with Briley Jernigan scoring on a single by Genna Sadler and Briley Apicella scoring on a sacrifice fly by Payton Thomas to give Coffee County a 2-1 lead.

The Panthers would score twice in the bottom of the second inning to go up 3-2, but the Lady Raiders answered in the top of the third as Allie Raines scored on a double by Jernigan to tie the score at 3-3.

No team would score in the fourth inning, then Coffee County outscored Page 4-1 the rest of the way to win the game 7-4 and advance to the Sectional Championship.

For the Lady Raiders, Allie Raines and Briley Jernigan each had three hits and one RBI, Paige Chilton had two hits and one RBI, Kenzie Shelton and Payton Thomas had one hit and one RBI apiece and Genna Sadler had one hit.

Briley Jernigan would get the win in the circle, pitching all seven innings, allowing four runs on 11 hits, striking out 11 batters and walking four on 133 pitches.

CCMS Lady Raiders: 2, Oakland Lady Chargers: 19

In the Section Championship Game, Oakland dominated right from the start, scoring seven runs through the first three innings to pile up a 7-0 lead.

Coffee County would score twice in the bottom of the third inning, but the Lady Chargers never seemed to let up, scoring 12 runs the rest of the way, including eight in the top of the seventh inning to win the game 19-2.

For Coffee County, Genna Sadler would have one hit and one RBI and Kenzie Shelton, Allie Raines, Briley Apicella and Paige Chilton each had one hit.

Briley Apicella and Briley Jernigan each made an appearance in the pitcher’s circle.

The loss put an end to a 15-game winning streak for the Lady Raiders, who end the season with a record of 18-3.
