The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department will be starting a community garden project this spring and summer open to the public.

Registration is now open through March 22. The cost will be a $25 deposit and a $70 plot fee.

The parks department will provide a tilled, 15 by 15-foot garden bed for individuals to plant, fruit, vegetables, and flowers for personal use.

The parks department will have plant sales to the general public through the Manchester Parks and Recreation Indoor Farmer’s Market on April 4 & May 1 and an exclusive plant sale to Community Garden members on April 27 and 28 at the Community Garden Greenhouse.

The garden will officially open on March 25 and will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again on Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. Each month a garden workshop will be held for Garden members.
