SIMMONS
Mrs. Sue Bartlett Simmons, age 76 of Hillsboro, was born on March 17, 1947, in Manchester, to the late Robert and Willie Johnson Bartlett. She was an LPN for Dr. Glenn Davis in Manchester for many years, and she was a member of the Prairie Plains Church of Christ. Mrs. Sue enjoyed bird watching, working Thomas Kinkade puzzles, and traveling, especially to Pigeon Forge with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sue is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ross Simmons; brother, Ricky Bartlett; sisters, Bobbie Bartlett, Linda Jacobs and her husband, James, and Kathy Bartlett; son-in-law, Richard Adams. She is survived by her loving daughter, Tracey Adams; grandson, Zachary Adams; nephews, John Gilbert, and Jason Jacobs; niece, Samantha Stamey; cousins, Rita and Amanda Sliger; several extended family members and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Sue was conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Robison officiating. Burial immediately followed in the Prairie Plains Church of Christ cemetery. Visitation with the family was held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Sue passed away at her home in Hillsboro on Saturday, Dec. 30 after an extended illness.
