Hix Reaves Ramsey, age 73 of the Ninth Model Community of Coffee County, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 on his family farm. Hix was born Aug. 31, 1950 in McMinnville, Tennessee. He was a life-long farmer and longtime Pro Lix Liquid Feed distributor. He was a 1968 graduate of Manchester Central High School and he earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Hix is preceded in death by his mother, Ina Mae Reaves Ramsey Clark who died August 9, 2002 and his father Eugene Hix Ramsey who died August 1, 1966. Surviving family members include his wife of nearly 53 years Sheila Duke Ramsey

Two sons: Bradley Duke Ramsey, Nicholas Reaves Ramsey and wife Mia. Four grandchildren that knew him as Pop Hix: Zakkary, Anna, Cash and Charlotte Ramsey.Two sisters: Jane Russ and Janice Bartlett

In accordance to Hix’s wishes, Hunter Funeral Home is entrusted with his cremation and no services will be planned.
