Coffee Wrestling Sweeps Siegel Quad Meet

The Red Raider Wrestling boys picked up wins over Siegel and Shelbyville while the girls won over Franklin County and Shelbyville at Siegel on Thursday night.
Coffee County’s boys picked up narrow wins over the Siegel Stars and Shelbyville Golden Eagles.
Against Siegel, Red Raiders Blayne Myers, Eli McLean, Jacob Barlow, Zachary Warrick, Tommy Miller, Ian Walker and Joel Cruz-Martinez all picked up wins by a fall.
Clayton Centeno, Sean Sanders, Owen Shelton and Austin Green would all lose their matches by a fall and Siegel would pick up two forfeit wins, but the Red Raiders would still win the match, 42-36.
In their match against Shelbyville, Myers, Sanders, Green, McLean, Barlow and Walker all picked up wins by a fall with Shelton picking up a forfeit win for the Red Raiders.
Centeno, Warrick, Miller and Cruz-Martinez would all lose their matches by a fall and the Golden Eagles picked up two forfeit wins, but Coffee County would again the match by a score of 42-36.
Meanwhile, the Red Raider girls also picked up two wins.
Against Franklin County, Jasmine Norris, Payton Robertson and Gabriella Silva all picked up wins by a fall while Matilde Viterbo, Sara Crosslin, Estrella Armeta, Jade Lenhart and Ellysia Jennings all picked up forfeit wins for Coffee County.
Franklin County only managed two forfeit wins in the match and the Red Raiders won, 48-12.
Against Shelbyville, the Red Raiders split the only two matches that were played with Robertson winning by a fall and Armeta losing by a fall, but Coffee County won on a tiebreaker, 7-6.
Next up for the Red Raider Wrestling Team will be the Bradley Central Invitational for the boys on Friday and Saturday, Dec.15/16 and both teams will be back at Franklin County with Eagleville on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
