Homecoming win for CMS Red Raiders

CMS broke their losing streak on Tuesday, Sept. 12 against cross county rival Tullahoma. Giovanni Alcara Reyes kicked the game winning field goal with 11 seconds left on the clock to win 16-14.

To start the game, Coffee scored the first touchdown with 0:23 left in the first on a rush from Corontez Garret.

Tullahoma answered with a touchdown with a failed two point conversion before a successful pick-six moments later giving Tullahoma the lead going into halftime. Tullahoma led 14-7 at the half.

At halftime, Coffee Middle had their homecoming celebration where kids of each class were honored as they walked down the field before a King Queen were crowned.

Following halftime, Coffee fought back to tie the game on their first possession. A 12 yard run by Kameron Stafford pulled the game within a point. The Raider defense held Tullahoma scoreless then entire second half, and a brilliant final drive helped secure the homecoming win following Alcara Reyes splitting the uprights to finalize the score 16-14.
