Coffee Middle splits Rockvale roadtrip

On Tuesday night, the Coffee Middle Lady Raiders completed their season sweep of Rockvale while the Red Raiders lost a tough one to the Ravens.
The Lady Raiders pushed their winning streak to 14 with yet another win over Rockvale.
Their defense was again very solid, holding the Lady Ravens to 13 points in a 41-13 victory.
“I didn’t feel like we had our best offensive outing,” said Coach David Vinson. “We had a lot of missed open shots, but we did have another good defensive night.”
Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Jenslee Nogodula with 13 points, Hayleigh Harris with eight points, Kinsley Pruitt and Addalyn Clark with seven points each and Isabelle Saner and Kendall Kesling with two points each.
On the other side, the Red Raiders had another tough outing with the Ravens.
Rockvale controlled at the start, as the Ravens led 8-3 after the first quarter and then put in another eight points to Coffee’s seven in the second quarter to lead 16-10 at the half.
The Red Raiders outscored Rockvale 8-7 in the third, but the Ravens put the game away in the fourth to win 33-26.
Scoring for the Red Raiders were Landyn Stiefel with 10 points, Jaxon Pruitt with nine points and Jerrad Morgan and Jack Oliver scored two points each.
The Red Raiders fall to 6-8 on the season.
Next up for Coffee Middle Basketball will be a home game against Warren County on Thursday, Dec. 7.
