Red Raider Wrestling Teams sweep Rebels, boys fall to Eagleville

On Tuesday night in Winchester, the Red Raider boys lost to the Eagleville Eagles but rebounded to beat Franklin County with the girls team also beating the Rebels.
The Red Raider boys had several individual wins but couldn’t beat the Eagles in a dual match.
Picking up wins by a fall for the Red Raiders were Jacob Barlow, Tommy Miller and Blayne Myers with Ian Walker winning by a decision and Sean Sanders winning by a forfeit.
However, Ryan Degregerio would lose by a major decision, Carlos Valle-Martinez, Owen Shelton, Eli McLean and Zachary Warrick would all lose by a fall and Eagleville picked up two forfeit wins to beat the Red Raiders, 40-27.
The Red Raider boys would rebound to beat host Franklin County.
Sanders, McLean, Miller, Walker and Myers picked up wins by a fall with Barlow picking up a win by a technical fall and Valle-Martinez along with Clayton Centeno and Zander Warrick picked up wins by forfeit.
Degregerio lost by a decision, Shelton lost by a fall and Franklin County picked up two wins by a forfeit, but the Red Raiders still won, 53-21.
The Red Raider girls also picked up a dual win over Franklin County.
Jasmine Norris, Payton Robertson and Gabriella Silva picked up wins by a fall and Jianna Bare, Sara Crosslin, Estrella Armeta, Lillee Evans, Jade Lenhart and Ellysia Jennings all won by a forfeit for the Red Raiders while Franklin County picked up two forfeit wins with the Red Raider girls winning, 54-12.
Coffee County Wrestling returns to action on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Cascade High School with Chetham County.
