Wheeler signs with Cumberland

On Friday, Coffee County High School Senior Kara Wheeler signed her letter of intent to play college softball at Cumberland University.
Wheeler will be majoring in exercise science when she attends Cumberland next fall.
“I really like the softball program there,” said Wheeler. “I also feel like they have good programs for what I plan to do in the future.”
Wheeler, who currently plays outfield for the Lady Raiders, played in 17 games in 2023, scoring four runs and accumulating an on-base percentage of .214.
When asked about her goals for the upcoming season, Wheeler said, “I just want to give my all this year and I want it to be the best of my four years playing high school softball.”
Wheeler will get that chance as the Lady Raider softball season gets underway in March.
