Barlow, Jennings place first at tournaments

On Saturday, Jacob Barlow placed first in his division at the Admiral Invitational and Ellysia Jennings placed first in her division at the Mountain Top Invitational.
The Coffee County Wrestling Team boys took part in the Admiral Invitational at Franklin High School, and many Red Raiders placed in their division.
Jacob Barlow placed first in the 150 pound division, beating Leo Roberts of Independence in the championship round due to a medical forfeit.
Also placing for Coffee County were Austin Green, who placed third in the 138 pound division after beating Cookeville’s Samuel Correll by a decision in the third place match, and Blayne Myers, who placed third in the 285 pound division after beating Durham Queen of Franklin by a decision in the third place match.
Here’s a rundown of how the remaining Red Raider boys finished:
120 – Sean Sanders: Lost by a fall in the third round of the consolation bracket.
126 – Clayton Centeno: Lost by a fall in the first round of consolation.
132 – Carlos Valle-Martinez: Lost by a fall in the second round of the consolation bracket.
144 – Eli McLean: Lost on a decision in the third round of consolation.
157 – Emanuel Rodriguez: Lost by a fall in the second round of the consolation bracket.
165 – Zachary Warrick: Lost by a fall in the first round of consolation.
175 – Tommy Miller: Lost by a fall in the second round of consolation.
190 – Ian Walker: Lost in the semi finals to Brennen Neal of Nolensville by a decision, then lost in the consolation semis by a decision to Cordova’s Ashton Boswell.
215 – Kaleb Dodson: Lost by a decision in the second round of consolation.
Meanwhile, the girls took part in the Mountain Top Invitational at St. Andrews-Sewanee.
Placing first in the 185 pound division was Ellysia Jennings, who defeated Moore County’s Shilo Bryan by a fall in the championship round.

114 – Jasmine Norris: Placed fourth after losing the third place match by a fall to Cleveland’s Saniya Hammonds.
120 – Payton Robertson: Placed third after winning the third place match over Cleveland’s Courtaneigh McDermott by a fall.
138 – Jianna Bare: Placed second after losing the first place match to Hadlee Hale of St. Andrews by a fall.
145 – Sara Crosslin: Placed fourth after losing the third place match to Cleveland’s Sofia Greene by a fall.
152 – Lillee Evans: Placed third after losing to Lainey Jones of Clarksville Academy by a fall in the third round.
