On Tuesday, the Lady Raider volleyball team picked up a road win at Franklin County, Red Raider golf won on the road at Lincoln County and Lady Raider soccer lost at home to Warren.
Lady Raider Volleyball
The Lady Raiders’ road losing streak came to an end after beating Franklin County 3-1 in Winchester.
Franklin County dominated the first set, winning 25-9, but the Lady Raiders battled back, winning the second set 27-25 to tie the match at two sets apiece.
The next two sets would also be a close battle, but Coffee County prevailed, winning 25-23 in the third and 26-24 in the fourth to claim their first road district win of the year.
Savannah Cooper led the team with six aces from the service line while Morgen Spears mashed 11 kills and Rileigh Russell collected 11 assists.
The Lady Raiders (10-7) will put their 5-0 home record to the test when they play host to Lawrence County on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Red Raider Golf
The Red Raider golf team picked up another win in a three way battle against Lincoln County and Franklin County at Pebble Creek Golf Club.
Rylan Melson put up the best score for Coffee County, scoring a 42 in the nine-hole match with Tanner Daugherty carding a 44, Riley Keele scoring a 50 and Luke Lowe turning in a 59 to give the Raiders a team score of 195.
Elijah Carter managed a 61 for the Red Raiders in individual scoring.
Franklin County placed second in the three team battle with a team score of 200 and their best individual effort coming from Garrett Patterson, who scored a 44.
Host Lincoln County finished third with a team score of 217 and were led by John Howell, who managed a score of 49.
For the Coffee County girls, Leah Kate Sullivan scored a 47 and Karsyn Riddle scored a 56 for a team score of 103, beating Lincoln County for the second time in as many days. The Lady Falcons scored a 121 with their best effort being a 59 from Louise Thomas.
For their final regular season match, Coffee County golf will travel to Bear Trace-Tim’s Ford on Thursday, Sept. 19 to take on Lincoln County and Marshall County.
Lady Raider Soccer
The Lady Raider soccer team honored their seniors at halftime in a home match against Warren County, but fell 4-1 to the Lady Pioneers.
Coffee County would manage a couple of shots in the first half, but Warren County scored two goals to lead 2-0 at halftime.
During the halftime break, the Lady Raiders took time to honor the senior members of their team: Chloe Bellamy, Anayely Montealegre, Ocean Sanfilippo and Brooklynn Skipper.
In the second half, Warren County scored twice in the first six minutes to pile up a 4-0 advantage.
The Lady Raiders would manage to score with Ava Martin on a deflected corner kick by Bailey Barsenas, but the match ended 4-1 in favor of the visitors.
Coffee County will travel to Lincoln County for their next match on Thursday, Sept. 19.
