On Thursday, the Lady Raider volleyball team suffered their first home loss of the season in a 3-0 loss to Lawrence County.

Lawrence County won the first set 25-20 then completed the sweep with identical 25-19 scores in the second and third sets.

Rylee Clark and Savannah Cooper each led Coffee County with three aces while Morgen Spears had seven kills and Rileigh Russell collected 11 assists.

The Lady Raiders fall to 10-8 on the season and will play host to the Dream for Weave Southern Slam on Saturday, Sept. 21 with 20 teams traveling to Manchester to play games at Coffee County Central, Coffee County Middle and Raider Academy.

Coffee County will play three games in pool play against the HVA Hawks (AL) at 9 a.m., Cascade at 11 a.m. and Fayetteville at 1 p.m. with tournament play taking place later in the day.

All of Coffee County’s pool play games will take place at Coffee County Central.
