Sheriff’s Department responds to possible threat at CCCHS

According to a statement by the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, a call was received of a possible threat at Coffee County Central High School at approximately 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20.
“The preliminarily investigation has revealed that there was no actual threat to the school or any student. Two students are being questioned regarding statements and comments that may have been misconstrued as threats. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department takes these types of calls and possible threats very seriously. If proven, we will prosecute those involved to ensure that the safety and security of the schools and students is maintained. Currently, it appears that there was no danger to the school or to any student regarding this event.”
