Old Timers Day returns this weekend

The annual Manchester Old Timers Day will be this weekend, Friday Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 with events on the historic town square

The event kicks off Friday night with free bingo.

On Saturday, the parade starts at 10 a.m. and goes from the Coffee County Raider Academy on Highway 55 to Highway 41 and then to the square.

Following the parade local singer/songwriter Macy Tabor takes the stage at 11 a.m., followed by a performance by the Duck River Dance company dancers at noon.

 New this year is the Deerfield Elementary School ukulele club at 12:30 p.m.

Alex Davis will take the stage at 1 p.m. followed by Stone Groove at 1:30 p.m.

Old Timers Day favorite Beechgrove Bob and Rusty will perform at 2:45 p.m.

Round Trip See Less will end the performances at 3:45 p.m.

The Joanna Lewis Historical Museum of Coffee County, in the Old Court House will be open for visitors from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

In addition to a wide collection of vendors, Good Karma Café, formerly located on the square, will open a vendor booth offering coffee and baked goods.
