CCMS returns from break with sweep of Warren

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders and Red Raiders each picked up home wins over Warren County on Monday night.

CCMS Lady Raiders

The Lady Raiders returned from Thanksgiving Break with their usual performance on defense, allowing just nine first half points to the Lady Pioneers to rack up a 24-9 lead through two quarters.

Coffee County would outscore Warren 20-13 in the second half and win the game, 44-22.

“We scored in spurts,” said Coach David Vinson. “Warren had a good gameplan by playing a tight zone. It allowed us to shoot from the perimeter, but we couldn’t get much in the paint. We made some threes and our press defense also helped us score some points. All in all, it was a good CTC win for us after a 12-day break.”

The Lady Raiders improve to 13-0 with the win.
