On Friday afternoon, CCHS senior Paisley Campbell signed her letter of intent with UT Martin to play college softball.

“I love the players and the coaches there, it feels like a second home,” Campbell said of UT Martin.

Campbell says that she will be majoring in engineering, but doesn’t know what specific career she has in mind just yet.

Last season, Campbell played mostly at catcher and third base for the Lady Raiders, compiling 32 hits which include seven doubles, one triple, four home runs, a batting percentage of .390, an on base percentage of .469 and 30 RBIs.

With her senior year of high school softball coming up in the spring, Campbell would love for her and her Lady Raider teammates to make a return trip to the State Tournament after missing out in 2024.

“I would love to go back to State again,” she said. “I feel like we can make it far this year and go on a good run.”
