Lady Raiders sweep Stars, Raiders lose fourth straight

On Thursday night, the Lady Raiders defeated Siegel 87-15 for their 18th win of the season while the Red Raiders again struggled on offense in a 51-38 loss in Murfreesboro.

With a season sweep of Tullahoma now under their belt, the Lady Raiders were eyeing a season sweep of Siegel to notch win #18 on the season.
The Lady Raiders would come out of the gates flying, shutting out the Stars 36-0 in the game’s opening quarter.
Coffee County would forge a mountain of a 48-0 lead before finally surrendering their first basket with 4:30 remaining in the second quarter. The Stars would add a few more points to their total before the halftime break, but Coffee County still held a substantial 55-8 lead after the first two quarters.
The Lady Raiders would choose to rest their starters for the second half and the bench unit would help Coffee County coast to an 87-15 victory.

Having lost three games in a row, the Red Raiders were hoping to find some offensive consistency and get back in the win column in their second meeting with the Siegel Stars.
The Red Raiders would have a cold start shooting the ball, managing only eight first half points against Siegel’s 22.
Coffee County would find some offensive rhythm in the second half, outscoring Siegel 30-29 over the final two quarters, but the slow start would prove to be too much and the Red Raiders would suffer their fourth straight loss, 51-38.
