Peoples Bank and Trust recently donated $1,000 to the VFW. A portion will be used to purchase lighted crosses that will be on display for Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day. Peoples Bank President Philip Calahan said the donation is a way to give back to the community. VFW Commander Kimberly King said the display will be a beautiful way to introduce children to the those days of observance.
