Valerie Teresa McGowan of Manchester passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025 at the age of 54. Valerie was born in New York, NY to the late Anthony and Margaret Sheehan Negri. During her life, Valerie attended East Main Church of Christ, as well as The Well Church in Tullahoma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Negri. Mrs. McGowan is survived by her husband, Stephen McGowan; one daughter, Margaret Nicotra; one son, Giuseppe “Joey” Nicotra; one brother, Anthony Negri (Angela); two sisters, Caroline Lemp (Ronald), and Allison Shea (Patrick); three nephews; and six nieces. Visitation for Mrs. McGowan will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9 from 1-3 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Clint Clarneau officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Well Church in Tullahoma.
