Memphis man faces at least 28 years for robbing postal workers
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis man is heading to federal prison for robbing postal workers robbed in Memphis. The crimes put people and your mail at risk.
Marshun Lewis, 25, will spend at least 28 years behind bars for the federal crimes. The US attorney says a jury recently convicted Lewis on four counts of robbery, four counts of brandishing a firearm during a violent crime, one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, one count of bank fraud, and one count of possession of stolen mail.

The crimes happened in August 2023 and October, November and December 2024. FOX13 reported on the crimes at the time.
The US Attorney says Lewis was the masked man who robbed mail carriers at gunpoint. His goal was the key the workers carried that unlocks blue mail collection boxes around Memphis. Prosecutors say those keys allowed Lewis to steal checks and money orders in the mail. They say he would change names on them to steal at least $940,000.

In December 2024 investigators released images of a car involved in robbing a postal worker. The US Attorney said the car led investigators to Lewis’s home. There they found stolen mail and a keychain for one of the stolen keys. Investigators say text messages on his phone linked Lewis to each of the robberies and several other people involved in the bank fraud scheme.
Lewis is set to be sentenced April 10.
