Amacher announces run for County Clerk

Jenna Amacher has officially announced her candidacy for Coffee County Clerk. Her announcement follows as submitted: Jenna Amacher has officially announced her candidacy for Coffee County Clerk in the Republican primary, emphasizing stewardship, structure, and community-focused service as the foundation of her campaign.

Amacher, a former Tullahoma Alderman/ Mayor Pro Tem, brings a decade of active community and political involvement to the race. She has served on the Regional Planning Commission, the 911 Consolidated Communications board, the Tullahoma Housing Authority board, and the Regional Tourism Council. She currently serves as Chairman of the Coffee County Young Republicans.

“Public service is about stewardship and responsibility,” Amacher said. “I believe government works best when its operations are transparent, efficient, and focused on serving the people of Coffee County.” During her time as an Alderman, Amacher carried the torch of conservative values while focusing on practical results. She fought to place School Resource Officers in local schools, supported the installation of a Safe Baby Box at the fire department, supported responsible growth, and ensured that taxes were not raised during her time in office.

She also spent extensive time reviewing budgets line by line to ensure spending was appropriate and reasonable for taxpayers.

Amacher earned her Bachelors in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration at MTSU and holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law. Her background includes experience in education, real estate, contract law, along with grant writing and public administration work. She is a small business owner and has balanced her professional career with raising a family and ongoing community involvement.

As County Clerk, Amacher says she plans to focus on the core responsibilities of the office, which include serving as the official records keeper of the county and clerk to the County Commission.

“The County Clerk’s office is the hub of county information,” Amacher said. “It ensures records, statutory resolutions, and official documents are accurate, organized, and accessible. When the accessibility of information and resources is strong, the entire community benefits.”

Amacher also believes the office can be known for much more than “where you get your car tags.” She has suggested initiatives such as enhanced public information access and digital services as well as the development of community resource tools, including a small business directory to help connect residents, entrepreneurs, and local services. Amacher would also like to extend services to ID and license renewals emphasizing convenience and revenue.

“The county would receive a portion of those fees and Manchester residents might not have to drive 20 minutes to renew their drivers license. Multiple county clerks offices in TN handle ID services.”

Amacher emphasized that the role of County Clerk should be focused on efficiency and customer service; her campaign is centered on community engagement and responsible government. “This office is not about conflict or politics,” she said. “There is no agenda other than to serve the community. It requires someone who values organization, parliamentary procedure, statutory understanding, and careful attention to detail. My goal is to ensure the Clerk’s office operates smoothly, professionally, and in a way that supports both the County Commission and all the citizens, prospective industry, and business in Coffee County.”
