MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in the death of an 18-year-old who was shot and killed after his prom night in Memphis, police said Tuesday.

According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the 17-year-old was arrested Monday. He was charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of a robbery, police said.

MPD said the shooting happened around 1:40 a.m. Sunday at a gas station near Shelby Drive and Elvis Presley Boulevard. The shooting victim was rushed to a hospital, where he died, police said.
