Early morning fire that damaged Oakhaven townhome ruled electrical accident, MFD says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A fire early Friday morning damaged a townhome in Oakhaven.
It happened on Orange Blossom Court near East Shelby Drive. According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), officers were called just before 2:30 a.m. for traffic control due to a house fire in the area.
FOX13 arrived to find fire damage to the upstairs of a townhome.
FOX13 also spotted Memphis-Shelby County Schools board member Towanna Murphy on scene. Property records connect her to the address of the fire.
The Memphis Fire Department ruled the fire as an electrical accident.
No civilians or firefighters were injured, MFD added.
