Process server cited after urinating in carport of person being served, officials say

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. – A process server is now on the other side of the law after being caught doing something he was not supposed to be doing.

According to Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley, a male in a Ford truck was demonstrating odd behavior on security footage at a home in Tipton County. In a post on March 16, the man was seen about 6 p.m. on the camera becoming very upset when the homeowner would not come to the door, and that is when he urinated in the carport, according to officials.

The sheriff said this was the second known encounter in 7 days. The other encounter was in the area of Fayne and Atoka-Idaville area, and on Monday evening in the 3000 block of Hwy. 59W. In both encounters, he refused to identify himself.

Within hours of the post on Facebook, Tipton County officials were able to identify the man as a process server, but his name was not given. He was issued a misdemeanor citation for his actions of intentionally exposing himself and urinating in the carport at the home.

Beasley said that since the original post, the sheriff’s office has received more complaints regarding this man’s actions, and investigators will follow up on those complaints.
