MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will roll out a new identity verification option for travelers who do not have acceptable identification to fly.

TSA said the new system, called ConfirmID, will attempt to verify a passenger’s identity so they can go through security. However, officials said approval is not guaranteed.

Travels can begin using ConfirmID on Feb. 1 for a $45 fee, TSA said.
