Coffee County Middle School’s basketball teams started off the week with a road district matchup at Harris Monday night.

Neither team returned home with a victory, with Harris sweeping the doubleheader.

Down two starters, the Lady Raiders went into halftime of their matchup down 15-10 before Harris took off in the second half on the way to defeating Coffee County 42-20.

The Red Raiders found themselves in a similar situation in the second game of the evening, finishing down 46-19 at the final buzzer.

In the girls’ game, Brooklyn Carlton led the Coffee County offensive effort with eight points. Up next was Brinley Frederik with six points. Gracie Bryan added four points. Daisy Kapise had two points.

Coffee County returns to action this evening, hosting Christiana. Tip-off of the girls’ game is set for 6 p.m.
