Rep. Tim Burchett appointed chair of DOGE subcommittee

Chairman James Comer, of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, announced Friday that Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN02) had been appointed the chair of the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“I am honored Chairman Comer has bestowed this great responsibility upon me”, said Rep. Burchett in a release. “The American people are fed up with wasteful spending and fraud in the federal government. Under my leadership, I will eliminate reckless spending, slash unnecessary bureaucratic red tape, and investigate the rampant fraud and abuse in government.”

DOGE was established under President Trump, with help from Elon Musk, to reduce excessive government spending by previous administrations.
