Rheta Mae Reese, age 89, of Manchester, passed from this life Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Reese was born in New Castle, IN to her late parents William Whitley Gorman and Mabel Irene Darby Gorman. She was a homemaker for all her life. Mrs. Reese was very involved with the Foothills Crafts Organization for many years and enjoyed working with antiques. She enjoyed her time at the Coffee County Senior Center and attending the Rotary Club breakfasts. Mrs. Reese enjoyed playing the violin and played at many venues in the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Clevenger; brothers, James Gorman and Charles Gorman; son, Jeffrey Reese; niece, Barbara Jean Gorman; grandson, Brady T. Reese. Mrs. Reese is survived by her husband of 72 years, Bobby “Bob” Reese; son, Anthony Reese (Deb); daughters, DeLynda Crabtree (Bill) and Valerie Cameron (Billy); daughter-in-law, Teresa Reese (Roger Tyson); grandchildren, Millie Teal (Brian), Micah Reese (Sonya), Kathleen Ballard (Andrew), Reese Cameron, Marabeth Cameron, Clint Crabtree (Krista), Lacy Veyon (Tim), Brent Crabtree (Kendra); 13 great grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Burial followed at Forest Mill Cemetery in Manchester.
