Carolyn Ann Hall, age 76, of Murfreesboro passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025. Born in Manchester to the late Homer and Myrtle Dennis; she is preceded in death by husbands Jerry D. Yates and Allen Dale Hall; brothers, S.A. “Buck” Dennis, Harold Glen “Shorty” Dennis, Billy D. Dennis, and Marlin Hodges; sisters, Helen Florine Kinslow, Vada Summers, and Minnie Mae Thomas. She is survived by her significant other, Charlie Donnell; son, Michael Yates (Lori); daughter, Amy Burnett; grandchildren, Haley Burnett and Emma Yates; great-grandson Bryson Lawler; bonus daughter, Traci Donnell, and many nieces and nephews. Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She hardly met a stranger and was known for her welcoming heart. She retired from Rich Products. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, Jan. 1, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with funeral service at 1 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home, Josh Leathers officiating. Burial will follow at Hurricane Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

CROUCH
Vivian Juanita Crouch, age 82, of Manchester, passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, in Manchester. Mrs. Crouch was born in Coffee County, to her late parents Jessie Crouch and Erma Rigney Crouch. She owned and operated a daycare out of her home and she thoroughly enjoyed taking care of the children. Mrs. Crouch was also a member of Lumley Stand church of Christ and also taught a Sunday school class at New Union church of Christ for a period of time. She loved cooking for her grandkids, who were her pride and joy. In her younger years, she worked at the Boyd Nursery in McMinnville. In her free time, you could always find her reading her Bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glendal Crouch; son-in-law, Ronald Gregory Freeze; brothers, Leighton Crouch, Clyde Crouch, and Charles Crouch; sister, Dorothy Taylor; sisters-in-law, Thula Lambert, Dorothy Crouch, Freda Crouch, and Cathy Crouch; brothers-in-law, Bobby Stone and Howard Lambert. Mrs. Crouch is survived by a son, Kenneth Crouch (Valorie); daughter, Carla Crouch Freeze; brother, Jerry Crouch (Phyllis); sisters, Audrey Stone and Jenny Faye Jones (Shelton); grandchildren, Ethan Crouch (Amber), Kaleb Crouch, Maggie Crouch; special grandchild, Ashlyn Young; great grandchildren, EllieMae Crouch and Bailee Crouch; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 21, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Welker Cemetery in Manchester. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Bailey Manor and Adoration Hospice for their love and care during this difficult time.

Steven Curtis Ray, age 62, of Smyrna, passed from this life Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at his residence. Steven was born in Manchester, TN, to his late parents Jessie Wayne Ray and Frances Louise Mayton Ray. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Lasko and was of the Christian faith. Steven attended Westwood Elementary School and was a graduate of Coffee County High School. He then went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree and became an engineer. In his free time, he loved playing guitar, was an avid jokester, and enjoyed doing ancestry work and learning more about his family heritage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Elaine Thomas, Truman Mayton, Jerry Ray, and Bobbie Ruth Cheny. Steven is survived by aunts and uncles, David Mayton, Gayle Mayton, John Mayton, and Larry Ray; several cousins. Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 18, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Coffee County.

LOVELADY
Betty Ann Ring Lovelady of Manchester passed from this life on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at Legacy Health and Rehab. Betty was born in Hillsboro, TN, to the late Willie North and Lillian McGregor Ring. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don Lovelady, Sr.; one brother, J.D. (Eloise) Ring; two sisters, Alline Oldfield and Pauline (Alfred) White. She is survived by two sons, Keith Lovelady and Donnie (Brenda) Lovelady, and one daughter, Lisa (Joel) Gregory; five grandchildren, Jenna (Candye) Lovelady, Kristen (Chris) Elam, Hanna (Lee) Cunningham, Ethan Gregory, and Michaela Gregory; six great grandchildren, Cooper, Sawyer, and Reese Elam and Rhett, Hallee, and Josie Cunningham; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Betty attended school in Hillsboro through the tenth grade, then completed high school in Manchester, graduating in the class of 1955. Betty began working as a bookkeeper at White-Ring Mtrs, later Al White Motors, immediately after graduation. She kept books at several businesses throughout her life, most recently at Lovelady Auto Parts, where she worked until 2020. Betty devoted her life to caring for her family, including her children, her mother and father-in-law, her parents, and later her grandchildren. Betty was a talented seamstress and an excellent Southern cook. Her biscuits and her cornbread were unmatched! Betty faced many challenges in her life, including the tragic loss of her husband, Don, in 1971 when her children were very young. Despite this, she was the epitome of strength and perseverance, providing guidance and support for both family and friends throughout her life. Betty was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ and attended faithfully until her health prevented it. The family would like to thank all those who assisted in caring for Betty during the last two years of her life, including Chrystal Ashby, the staff at Autumn Oaks, and the staff at Legacy Health and Rehab. Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 23, from noon until 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. FRAZIER
Kendall Doyle Frazier, age 58, of Manchester, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025. Born in Manchester, Kendall was the beloved son of the late Connell Frazier and Joyce Lowe Frazier. He spent most of his working life as a machinist, a career that reflected his strong work ethic, skill, and dedication. Outside of work, Kendall found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing billiards, cards, and poker. He could often be found enjoying time spent fishing or hunting. He also had a deep passion for cars and racing, interests that brought him excitement and happiness throughout his life. Kendall will be remembered for his laid-back spirit, his love for competition and the outdoors, and the moments he shared with family and friends. Kendall is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Cheney (Kevin); stepchildren, Ashley Gault and Matthew Gault (Chara); and his cherished grandchildren, Noah Maye, Graydon, and Finnley Cheney, Alyssa Watkins, Wesley and Lily Gault, who brought great pride to his life. He is also survived by his aunt, Jodi Warren (Bobby), along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, from noon until 2 p.m., with memorial services beginning at 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, Tennessee.
