Firefighters’ injuries not life-threatening

Duck River Electric shared an update on the condition of firefighters involved in a crash on Ragsdale Road Nov. 20.

According to a statement by DREMC, “Although injuries have been reported, thankfully at this time, none of them appear to be life-threatening.” 

DREC said that  the firetruck hit and stopped against an electric pole. The damage caused an outage affecting 230 DREMC members.
 
First responders, Duck River crews, and other rescue teams are assisting with medical treatment, cleanup, and power restoration.
 
“We appreciate our members being patient as DREMC crews work to replace the broken pole and make other repairs,” the statement said.
