The Coffee County girls’ soccer team’s season came to an end last week.

Opening the district tournament against Columbia, the Lady Raiders came up short in a 5-1 road loss to the Lady Lions this past Thursday evening.

Coffee County previously fell to Columbia in a 6-1 home loss on Aug. 26.

Trailing by three in the first half, the Lady Raiders were able to get on the board with a goal from Lilly Matherne to make it a 3-1 game at the break. The Lady Lions did not give up any more Coffee County goals in the second half and added two more of their own to finish the game up by four.

With the loss, the Lady Raiders ended their season with a 6-10 overall record, including a 2-1 road loss to Giles County in their regular-season finale on Oct. 7.
