Imagination Library Pancake Breakfast set for Sept. 13 at The Mercantile Café

The Pancake Breakfast is set for 8-10, Sept. 13, at the Mercantile Café in Manchester. The Imagination Library of Coffee County invites you to attend the nonprofit’s fundraising event to raise funds for books for Coffee County children.

ILCC Chairperson Bertha Smith encourages community members to support the initiative.

“Please join us at the Pancake Breakfast in support of the Imagination Library of Coffee County’s continued work to provide free books to our youngest Coffee County residents,” Smith said. “The early exposure to reading is vital to enhancing language skill, developing creativity, and improving skills helpful for academic success. The delicious breakfast provided by Renee and her team at The Mercantile Cafe always makes the experience not only rewarding but also fun.”

Proceeds will benefit the ILCC, with all funds going toward purchasing books for local children. Every month, the Imagination Library of Coffee County provides books for about 3,000 local children birth to 5, at no cost to their families. All ILCC board members are volunteers, and they work to raise funds through local fundraising events and applying for grants.

Attend the event

The Mercantile Café is at 210 N. Irwin St., Manchester. Tickets for the Pancake Breakfast cost $12, with children under 5 eating free.
