The Coffee County volleyball team took a break from its road slate to host the Dream for Weave Southern Slam Saturday.

The Lady Raiders went 5-1 over the course of the tournament, starting with a 3-0 record in pool play after wins over Grundy County, Fayetteville and Whitwell.

Coffee County kicked off the tournament portion of the event with a 2-0 first-round win over Central Magnet, then followed this up with a 2-1 victory over Spring Hill in the semifinals. In the tournament championship, the Lady Raiders fell to Eagleville, 2-0.

Coffee County (12-5) returns to the road with a trip to Columbia Central for a district match Tuesday evening. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
