Pippenger signs on with Lipscomb

On Wednesday afternoon, CCHS senior Cole Pippenger signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Lipscomb University.

“Lipscomb gives me a great opportunity to stay close to home and get a great education,” Pippenger said. “It also gives me a great opportunity to play for a great baseball program and a great coach.”

Pippenger plans on majoring in civil engineering with the intent to be a contractor later in his career.

Even though Pippenger has yet to start his college career, he already believes that Lipscomb feels like home.

“I feel like I’ll fit in well,” he said. “I haven’t even made it there and I feel like family. There’s good people there.”

With one year of high school baseball left, Pippenger wants to end his career with the Red Raiders on a high note and leave it all out on the field.

“I just want to have a good last season, play really hard, have no regrets and end it with a bang.”
