On Monday night, the Coffee Middle Lady Raiders and Red Raiders both won over East Tullahoma after a long Thanksgiving break.

In the first quarter, the Lady Raiders set the tone, outscoring the Lady Panthers 14-4.

Coffee would pad their lead in the second, scoring 19 unanswered points for a 33-4 halftime lead.

The Lady Raiders continued to pour it on in the third, but as the starters sat down and the bench unit took over, the Lady Panthers got their offense going and both teams ended up with 17 points in the quarter, with Coffee leading 50-21 heading into the fourth.

Coffee would shutout the Lady Panthers 5-0 in the fourth for a 55-21 win.

“We picked up the intensity on defense yet again,” said Coach David Vinson. “I thought we might be a little sluggish out of Thanksgiving break, but we responded well tonight.”

Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Jenslee Nogodula with 19 points, Addalyn Clark with 16 points, Hayleigh Harris and Brylyn McAdams each with five, Avery and Kinsley Pruitt each with three and Harper Crosslin and Isabelle Saner each with two.

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders remain perfect with a 10-0 record on the season.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders had to slug it out in the first half of their game before running away with the win.

The Red Raiders would edge ahead in the first quarter for a 9-4 lead, but the Panthers would scratch their way back in the second quarter, and the Red Raiders led 14-10 at the half.

“It was a physical game, but I think that’s the type of game we needed,” Said Coach Jonathan Oliver. “We’ve talked about picking up our intensity, and tonight I thought we started a little flat, but in the second half, we picked it up and that was the effort we needed all game.”

Scoring for the Red Raiders were Landyn Stiefel with seven points, Jaxon Pruitt with six points, Jude Golebiewski and Jerrad Morgan each with five points and Ryan Abellana, Warren Simmons and Jack Oliver each scored two.
