Lady Raiders wallop Wildcats for third straight win

On Sunday afternoon, the Lady Raiders again won in dominant fashion with a 20-6 road win at Tullahoma.
The Lady Raiders would establish the lead early, scoring once in the first inning and twice more in the second courtesy of a Chesnie Cox single that drove in two runs to give Coffee County a 3-0 lead.
Coffee County exploded for six runs in the top of the third to go up 9-0, with two of those runs coming from a Willow Carden single.
Tullahoma began to chip away in the bottom of the third inning, scoring three runs to make the score 9-3.
The Lady Raiders would score another three runs in the fourth inning before erupting for eight runs in the fifth to lead 20-3, with two of them being scored by a Katelyn Anderson ground ball, and Coffee County would hold on to win the game, 20-6.
Willow Carden finished the game with two runs and three RBIs, Chesnie Cox had one hit and three RBIs, Maggie Montgomery registered a hit and two RBIs, Katelyn Anderson had two RBIs, Lily Norman and Channah Gannon each had two hits and an RBI, Kara Wheeler had one hit and an RBI, and Riley Phillips, Ella Arnold and Paisley Campbell each had one RBI.
In the circle, Norman got credit for the win, pitching three innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five batters and walking one on 66 pitches.
The Lady Raiders return to action at Spring Hill on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 6:30 pm.
