PREP ROUNDUP: CCHS boys’ golf beats Marion at home

The Coffee County boys’ golf team returned home to WillowBrook Golf Club Thursday, welcoming Marion County for a nine-hole matchup.
The Red Raiders came out on the victorious end of the competition, posting a team score of 149 to Marion County’s 174.
Scores for Coffee County included a 36 for Jaxon Phillips, a 37 for Landon Collins and a 38 for both Jack Stowe and Levi Rossman.
While unable to count toward Coffee County’s overall team score due to Marion County bringing six golfers and the competing six for the low four already decided beforehand, of note was the score of Rylan Melson, who shot a 34 on the day.
Coffee County will travel to McMinnville Country Club Tuesday morning to take part in the Keith Maxwell Tournament. Play is set to begin at 9 a.m.
Girls’ Soccer
The Coffee County High School girls’ soccer team made the trip to Tullahoma to face off against the rival Lady Wildcats Thursday night.
The Lady Raiders were held scoreless, with one shot on goal from Lilly Matherne on the way to an 8-0 loss.
Coffee County will return home to face Warren County at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Middle School Football
The Westwood football team kept its undefeated start to the season intact Thursday night, taking down Community 43-6 in a dominant road victory.
Westwood (5-0) will return home to take on Forrest at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
