Another week, another win for Westwood football.

Traveling to Cascade for a weekend road battle of undefeated teams, the Rockets came out on top 42-14 to move to 7-0 on the season.

Westwood went into halftime trailing 14-12, which marked the first time this season that the Rockets had gone into a half trailing in a game. The defense responded by shutting out Cascade in the second half as Westwood put up 30 more points to complete the dominant win.

The Rockets finished with 383 yards of offense, including 253 rushing yards with four rushing touchdowns and 130 passing yards with two passing touchdowns.

Aidyn Sawyer rushed for 154 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Caiden Campbell caught two touchdown passes from Hayes Shemwell, one for 52 yards on the last play of the first half, as well as another 54 yards.

Westwood’s defensive player of the game was Griffyn Woods, who had 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss and four quarterback pressures.

The Rockets will return home for their regular-season finale against Cannon County at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
