Wilma Jean Robinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Manchester on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 24, 1947, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Wilma lived a full life, cherished by the many who knew and loved her. As a dedicated factory worker, Wilma contributed significantly to her community throughout her career, exemplifying the values of hard work and commitment. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Manchester and Stevens Street Baptist Church, where she found strength and solace within her faith. Wilma had a profound love for the great outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and camping, finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature. Additionally, time spent at the beach was a source of happiness for her, where she created lasting memories with family and friends. Wilma leaves behind her loving daughters, Tracy Ralston, Karen (Wayne) Brown, and Kelly Wimberly, alongside her cherished brother, Paul Jackson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: John Stevens, Carrie Stevens, Larrisa Brown, Sydney Brown, Amber Brown, Stetson Blanton, Shelbi Blanton, and Wyatt Teal. She also adored her great-grandchildren, Anna, Ivy, Jordynn, and Sophia, whose light will carry forward her spirit. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Callie Jackson; her husband, Johnnie Edward Robinson; and her siblings, Bobby Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, Patsy Johnson, and Elizabeth Johnson. Their memories live on in the hearts of her family, as they remember a woman who brought love and warmth into their lives. Family and friends were invited to pay their respects and celebrate Wilma’s life during the services: Visitation at First Baptist Church in Manchester, on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; another Visitation at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from 2 p.m.to 6p.m.; and a Funeral Service at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. Interment followed in the Cookeville City Cemetery with Logan, Cody, Christopher, Kendall, Eden, Nicholas and Donavan serving as pallbearers.. Wilma Jean Robinson’s warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
