Coffee County swimming competes at Manchester meet

The Coffee County and Westwood swim teams was back in the pool Friday evening, this time hosting a meet for the first time this season.
Welcoming Tullahoma and Sewanee to the Manchester Recreation Complex, several Coffee County swimmers posted first-place finishes across multiple events.
Among those included Addison Yates, who took first place in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle with a finals time of 26.28 seconds. Yates also took the top spot in the girls’ 100-yard breaststroke, posting a finals time of 1:15.11.
Jack Stowe also took first place in the boys’ 100-yard butterfly with a finals time of 57.82 seconds. Jaci Howlett added a first-place finish in the girls’ 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at a finals time of 6:14.53.
In relay events, the Coffee County team of Howlett, Yates, Alyssa Yates and Avory Gilday finished first in the girls’ 400-yard freestyle relay with a finals time of 4:07.30.
Coffee County travels to Sewanee for a meet at the Fowler Center on Dec. 6.
