CHS basketball sweeps Fayetteville

Coffee County’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were back on the road Tuesday night, traveling to Fayetteville for another doubleheader.
Starting with the girls’ game, the Lady Raiders cruised to a 75-41 victory to keep their undefeated start to the season in check. The Red Raiders followed this up with a win of their own, ending a three-game skid with an 84-46 routing.
In the girls’ game, Natalie Barnes led the way on offense with 24 points. Kaysen Morgan followed with 20 points. Audri Patton and Lilly Matherne both added seven points each. Morgan Spears drained four points. Andon Selvog, Jaydee Nogodula and Maci Jackson all came away with three points each. Kinsley Pruitt and Adalyn Clark both had two points.
The wins improved Coffee County’s record to 5-0 for the girls’ team and 2-3 on the boys’ side.
The Lady Raiders will be back in action Friday at the Ezell-Harding Classic in Nashville. The Red Raiders will return to the court with a boys’ and girls’ road doubleheader at York on Dec. 5. Next week’s matchup will begin with the girls’ game, which is set to tip off at 6 p.m.
