Westwood boys’ basketball moved one step closer to a Duck River Valley Conference championship Tuesday night.

Traveling to Cascade Middle School to open the tournament against Lewisburg after a first-round bye, the Rockets came out on top 43-33 to punch their ticket to the DRVC title game.

Luke Christian and Hayes Shemwell led the way with 12 points each. Brock Christian followed with 11 points. Kayden Campbell added six points. Abe Norman had two points.

Westwood will return to Cascade this evening to take on Community in the conference championship game. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
