MEMPHIS, Tenn. – An inmate was taken to the hospital after an altercation at the Northwest Correctional Complex, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) said. 

According to TDOC, there was an altercation with inmates that ended with one inmate being taken to the hospital. No staff members were injured during the confrontation. 

The facility is under normal operations, TDOC said.
