Arson suspected in fire at Frayser flea market that injured firefighter, MFD says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Fire officials suspect arson as the cause of a fire Monday morning at a flea market in Frayser.
FOX13 arrived after 9 a.m. to find a fire at The Old Frayser Flea Market on Millington Road. It appeared that much of the roof has been damaged.
According to the Memphis Fire Department (MFD), firefighters went into “a defensive mode due to structural collapse. The department said investigators believe the fire was started intentionally but did not further elaborate.
A firefighter suffered minor injuries but was expected to be OK, MFD said.
