Former CEO of Evolve Bank & Trust pleads guilty to child pornography charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Robert Hartheimer, the former CEO of Evolve Bank & Trust, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges on Monday.

Hartheimer was joined by two lawyers, Blake Ballin and Kathy Flemming.

He admitted he used his phone to solicit and send sexually explicit photos to and from a person who he thought was a 15-year-old boy.

Even being charged with felony offenses, he waived his right to indictment by a grand jury.

He’s been charged with one count of attempted production of child pornography and a count of coercion and enticement of a minor.

The judge has not determined his sentence; that will be at the sentence hearing. At that hearing the judge will hear from the defendant and lawyers before making a final decision.

Hartheimer’s hearing will be on April 3.
