Manchester Save A Lot has announced its abrupt closing with the last day of operation being Friday, Jan. 9.

According to an announcement circulated on social media, the store will be open 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. through Thursday, then close at 3 p.m. on Friday.

“We want to sincerely thank each and every customer for your loyalty, support and trust,” the announcement said. “You have made this store more than just a grocery store – you’ve made it part of the community.”

Employees at the store told the Times that they were not told the reason for the sudden closing.
