Woman found shot at Parkway Village apartment complex, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A woman was found critically wounded from a gunshot wound early Sunday at a Parkway Village apartment complex, the Memphis Police Department said.

Officers responded to the 4300 block of Knight Arnold Road just before 1 a.m.  

Police said ATF and National Guard members arrived to the scene and provided medical aid to the woman. 

A man told police he heard the woman knocking on a door for help. The man said when he opened the door, he saw her coming up the stairs saying she had been shot and pleading for help. One neighbor told police they didn’t hear any gunshots.

The woman was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
