SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — A man wanted for attacking a vape shop employee in Southaven has been arrested, police said.

Larry Mayher, 54, was arrested Sunday night during a traffic stop at Stateline and Assembly, according to the Southaven Police Department (SPD). Police said he was charged with armed robbery.

SPD had previously reported Mayher walked into VaporSmart on Goodman Road on Sunday morning and assaulted an employee with a screwdriver in hand. He tried to get to the cash register but didn’t take anything, police said.

Police said Mayher ran off but was taken into custody later in the day.

SPD said the vape shop employee suffered minor injuries during the attack.
