SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Police in Southaven are searching for a man after he allegedly assaulted an employee at a vape shop this weekend.

According to the Southaven Police Department (SPD), the man went inside VaporSmart on Goodman Road just around 11 a.m. Sunday. Once inside, he assaulted an employee with a screwdriver in hand and tried to get to the register but didn’t take anything, police said.

SPD said he chased the employee and pushed her down, causing her to suffer minor injuries. The man, later identified as 54-year-old Larry Shawn Mayher, ran west toward Swinnea Road, police said.
