Man arrested in Parkway Village shooting that killed 1, injured 2, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man was arrested in a Parkway Village shooting that killed one man and injured two others, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said. 

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Mendenhall Road just after 4:30 p.m.

According to police, three men were taken to the hospital in critical condition, where one of them later died.

MPD said Mt. Moriah Task Force officers and federal agents found the suspect’s vehicle in the 5900 block of North Little Brook Circle.

Police said officers saw 21-year-old Travis Richardson get into the car. He was taken into custody without incident. MPD said officers recovered a firearm.

Richardson has been charged with first-degree murder, three counts of employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and two counts of criminal attempt first-degree murder.
